Norfolk Symphony Orchestra: 22 May 2016

Music Centre members will enjoy a concert by our friends at Norfolk Symphony Orchestra, this coming Sunday afternoon at 3.30pm at King’s Lynn Corn Exchange. With popular works by Grieg (Peer Gynt suite no. 1), Elgar (Cello Concerto), and Tchaikovsky (Symphony no. 5), this is sure to be a popular event.

On Saturday 16th May, the Norfolk Symphony Orchestra is performing

Elgar: Froissart Overture
Brahms: Violin Concerto
Dvořák: Symphony No. 7

At the Corn Exchange, Kings’ Lynn at 7.30pm.

Elgar’s English heroic chivalry, Dvořák’s Bohemian warmth and, between these amazing works, one of music’s greatest and best loved works, Brahms’ stunning Violin Concerto, what more could we ask?

A maximum of 3 free “Young Concert-goers” tickets for every one adult. Additional children at the normal price. There are a total of 100 free tickets available. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult. Young Concert-goers tickets are available on a first come first served basis.

Norfolk Symphony Orchestra, 23 March 2014

Once again, Norfolk Symphony Orchestra are offering free tickets for children to see their afternoon concert at 3.30 p.m. on 23 March at King’s Lynn Corn Exchange.

The orchestra will be playing:

  • Mendelssohn overture Ruy Blas
  • Schumann Konzertstuck for 4 horns
  • Schumann Symphony No. 3 “Rhenish

Tickets are available from the Corn Exchange box office, and free tickets are limited to 100 in total.

Norfolk Symphony Orchestra, 2 February 2014

Many of our members will be keen to see Norfolk Symphony Orchestra perform at King’s Lynn Corn Exchange on Sunday 2 February.  This concert may be of particular interest to the children and young people who learn with us.

The afternoon concert starts at 3.30 p.m., and we have heard that tickets for children under 18 (accompanied by an adult) will be free.  Free tickets are limited in number to three per adult, and 100 in total, and they are available from the Corn Exchange box office.

Nielson: Helios Overture
Grieg: Piano Concerto (Soloist Ian Fountain)
Sibelius: Symphony No.2
