Happy New Year, and welcome back
Our Christmas performances seem so long ago now, but here are a couple of photos from Tesco Hardwick as a reminder.
Now it’s the season of resolutions (learn a new instrument, dust off an old one, join a group?) and new aspirations. It’s never too late to contact us to arrange a trial lesson or to try out one or more of our groups.
This Saturday morning, 7 January, we will all be back at Springwood High School. See you there!
A Christmas Cracker!
Members of West Norfolk Music Centre put on another splendid concert yesterday, with a selection of solo and group performances. Well done to everyone, and enjoy a well-earned break — but don’t forget we’re playing and singing at Tesco, Hardwick, on Sunday 18 December, and West Norfolk Youth Choir are performing at Marks and Spencer, King’s Lynn, on the morning of Saturday 10 December.
West Norfolk Youth Choir to perform with ABBA Mania
Young singers from West Norfolk Youth Choir have been rehearsing to perform with ABBA Mania, the touring ABBA tribute production. The choir have prepared their parts for two well-known numbers during the show, which will be this Friday, 4 November 2016, at King’s Lynn Corn Exchange.
With ABBA themselves having recently announced their reunion for a new project, now is the perfect time to buy your tickets and relive some of their greatest moments.
A great show with Tenors Un Limited last night!
The audience at King’s Lynn’s Corn Exchange greeted Tenors Un Limited, supported by singers from West Norfolk Music Centre and West Norfolk Rock Choir, with huge enthusiasm last night. Our own West Norfolk Youth Choir, along with singers from our senior choir, had a fantastic experience rehearsing and performing with the Tenors and Rock Choir.
Music Centre singers to perform alongside Tenors Unlimited at Corn Exchange
Our very own West Norfolk Youth Choir join forces with our senior choir and with King’s Lynn Rock Choir in a performance with Tenors Unlimited at King’s Lynn Corn Exchange this May. Set aside Saturday 14 May in your diaries, and look out for more information — including ticket availability for family or friends — here and at Music Centre!
New Term starts today!
West Norfolk Music Centre’s spring term starts today. It’s not too late to start with us, just ask about the opportunities which are still open. We are still looking for more players to join our wind bands and orchestra.
We would also like to welcome more young people to our children’s choir, now West Norfolk Youth Choir, so if you are between the ages of 7 and 14 and love music, contact us now. There are no auditions, all you need is a voice and the enthusiasm to sing in a group.

5 weeks until … our winter concert
The nights are getting darker, and autumn is well and truly with us. West Norfolk Music Centre is back after its half-term break, and our students will be preparing for our end-of term concert, maybe some exams, and another special Christmas performance.

Congratulations to everyone who took exams last term: our students were awarded two distinctions, five merits and three passes.
