Coming up on 19 November, Norfolk Symphony Orchestra’s next concert has something to appeal to all Music Centre members. Enjoy music from films including Star Wars, Schindler’s List and Out of Africa.
Also featuring the musical whodunnit ‘The Composer is Dead’, by Lemony Snicket and Nathaniel Stookey. Young members may well know Lemony Snicket’s books, and they will enjoy exploring the orchestra through the story as narrated by local and West End actor Charlie Hotson. Even better, there are up to 100 free tickets available for under-18s when accompanied by an adult (up to 3 children per adult) to enjoy this family-friendly mid-afternoon performance.
King’s Lynn Music Society’s 2017-18 season starts next Wednesday with ‘Amalthea’ flute and harp duo, at King’s Lynn Town Hall, 7.30 pm (refreshments from 7.00 pm).
Tickets just £10, under 18’s free, or enjoy the whole season of 8 events for £50.
Come and see musicians from West Norfolk Music Centre playing solos and duets at King’s Lynn Town Hall as part of the annual Heritage Open Day on Sunday 10 September. Spend the rest of the day in town exploring historic and notable buildings, riding the vintage bus or seeking out the wide range of events.
Our young players and adult students will be playing music from baroque to modern, classical to jazz, on a range of instruments. Find us in the Assembly Room at the Town Hall at 12pm, 1.30pm or 2.30pm. You can come and go as you please — listen to just one piece or stay a little longer — and it’s free of charge!
